Diane is an outstanding nurse. I've seen and heard of many examples of how she goes the extra mile for her patients and colleagues. Here are a few examples. She will put on polka music on Sundays for our many Polish patients here in Stevens Point. She has arranged celebrations for patients for special life events. She has printed and laminated pictures of pets to keep at the patient's bedside to bring them comfort. Her colleagues comment on how she always makes a personal connection with her patients.
Diane is always coming up with games for her department or across departments to either raise money (Salvation Army or Christian Workplace) or give incentive to do an initiative (Survivor for Hourly Rounding). She makes fun bulletin boards for her department to help foster an awesome culture. She organizes holiday fun, like white elephant gifts. Patients recognize her often. She truly deserves to be recognized for going above and beyond for patient experience and work culture!
