In 2013 Dee took care of a critical patient in the ED. The family shared their thoughts as follows, "She provided excellent clinical care, was compassionate and caring even though she was caring for 3 other patients, she made us feel as though our family member was the only one she was caring for at the time. The next day she wrote a card for the patient and enclosed a small rosary. We read the card to our family member who was in the ICU, the message she wrote was hopeful and comforting. My family member was so grateful for Dee's kindness and compassion. She kept the rosary with her during her month-long stay in the hospital. It still holds a special meaning."
This is only one story that I can share, there are many. Dee is dedicated to the most excellent experience for our patients in the ED. Dee also remains positive during high-stress situations, acknowledges others for a job well done, and focuses on helping the multidisciplinary team of the ED meet patient goals. She has a "can do" attitude that is appreciated by her peers.
