Divinia is a pillar of knowledge and yet never too prideful to ask questions even about changes where others might build a wall against. She is humble. She treats everyone as equals and yearns to teach others. She sticks to the rules/policies/protocols and encourages others to do the same. She corrects others appropriately with dignity. She doesn't start problems, she fixes them. She is a natural born leader, always caring, never taking or giving into negativity. She always sees the possibilities, the positive, the negative, the pros, and the cons. She is active, selfless, helps others in need; even runs to those in other units to assist. She does audits, reports non-compliance and corrects those who need it. She teaches her patients, cares for her patients, even those that she is not assigned to. She is patient and understanding. She has all the attributes of a DAISY Nurse.

I truly believe that Divinia deserves the DAISY Award because she works the hardest, cares the most, loves her peers, and never complains. "Just be positive" she told me once. Every day, I can see that she is proud to work in this unit, with these people, in this hospital, for herself and others, for her manager and for the love of it all!
