I received a phone call that a patient fell in the men's room across the Assembly Room. I was met by the patient's mother who told me that her wheelchair-bound son was on the floor of the restroom. I calmed her down and went to check the patient. The stall door was locked inside and the patient was not able to reach it to unlock for us. I called thelift team but did not get a response. The patient denied hitting any of his body area; denied any pain nor getting hurt. Luckily for me Dominic, who was on his way out, came by. He literally laid prone, crawled to the other side of the stall and unlocked the door. Two USA staff called by NSO showed up. Dominic and USA staff seated the patient back to his battery operated wheelchair. Patient again refused to go to our Emergency Department. Patient and his mom were very thankful to these staff.
