When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I was overwhelmed with fear of the unknown. On my very first visit to Dr. T, Donna greeted me with open arms and informed me that as my 'breast navigator', she would be with me every step of the way as a liaison, comforter, secretary, supporter and most of all a caring friend to guide me through the experience. And she has done that and more with so much compassion and caring. Her warm personality is so soothing. When I had surgery, she held my hand. At Doctor's visits, she took notes to give to me after with all the details that I missed. She made sure that I was prepared for possible hair loss by taking me to the cancer boutique. This proved invaluable as when the time came and my hair fell out, I was armed with the necessary accessories to make me feel whole again. Donna also scheduled for me to take part in the "Look Good, Feel Better Program" that is a full make over and teaches you to bring out the beauty inside you. During my treatments, Donna is always there as my cheerleader and support team. Her positive attitude exudes and radiates to make everyone around her feel so much better and more at ease.
It is a blessing to have a caring person like Donna to be there for me thru this journey. She deserves to be recognized and rewarded for selfless dedication and hard work.
