Her devotion to each patient is evident every day. As an example, there was a patient who was unable to be placed due to her circumstances and she was with us for several months. Donna purchased regular clothing for her, trimmed and painted her nails, cut her hair and ensured she was doing well every single day. Donna also spent time with another patient who came in disheveled from a nursing home in the area. She bathed him, bonded with him and ensured he felt and looked clean. She takes time out of her busy days as bed-flow coordinator to deliver compassionate care to those in need.
Donna inspires old and new nurses to continue learning and refining their craft. She instills in everyone she meets a desire to be not only a better nurse but a better person. She gives 100% of herself every day to her patients and her co-workers. She can be counted on to answer questions, help find lost hair clips, sort out messed up paperwork - every single day.
