Dorothy is always looking for ways to make a patient's stay and discharge less stressful. Recently a gentleman was discharged, but had no family close by or a ride home. Dorothy knew this man from a past experience and he lived close to her house in Ransom...so she said she would be happy to take him home, after she got off work, so his daughter in Oklahoma did not have to come all of the way to Hays to transport him. This gentleman was so appreciative and thankful for the ride and not having to worry others.

Dorothy has such a big heart and is ALWAYS so caring toward patients. She is a huge asset to HaysMed and is so deserving of this award!"
