Doug Hill was my night care RN two out of the three nights I was in the hospital. My condition would deteriorate during the evening hours bringing on significant discomfort, pain, fear, and anxiety. Words cannot exactly explain Doug’s approach, but it was obviously driven by great compassion and delivered from a person who deeply cared. The thing I most remember is that it brought me great peace during a period of time where peace was hard for me to find. I know too that his conversations with my wife brought her peace during a very stressful period.
I would submit that in my eyes Doug Hill meets all the criteria for The Daisy Award.
