That day was one of the hardest of my life, and as I look back on it, I feel so thankful for caregivers like Easton, who take the time to be compassionate.
My husband came through the ED 2 weeks post-op following a kidney transplant, having seizures. He ended up having a massive Grand Mal in the ED. Easton was the first one in the room. He quickly and efficiently called a seizure code and got the ER doctor in the room ASAP. My husband had a very difficult post-ictal recovery, and it was a major challenge for the staff. Easton never once lost his patience with him or me. I was more scared than I had ever been in my entire life and very traumatized after seeing him seize. Easton took the time to check on me and comfort me. He answered all my questions and never made me feel like a burden. He went above and beyond in a difficult situation to make sure my husband, who was being extremely difficult, was receiving exceptional care. That day was one of the hardest of my life, and as I look back on it, I feel so thankful for caregivers like Easton, who take the time to be compassionate.
