They are Christiana, Eden, Glenda, and Estela. In my entire army career, I have not been cared for more than that night by these four people.
I was in surgery for six hours. I was awake, so I was given anesthesia over those long hours. I recovered in the recovery room and was requested to stay for six hours for observation in a separate room. Surprisingly, I was unable to hold anything down. Anything I ate or drank kept coming back up. I was moved to a more comfortable room just across from the reception area. Night came, and I was still throwing up, even without eating or drinking anything. At two in the morning, the people working there, advised me to go to emergency, which is just on the floor below. Unable to stop throwing up, I took their advice.

Two people who work for you accompanied me. They explained everything that was happening to the emergency receptionist. They even escorted me deeper into the emergency room, to further explain to the people in there what was happening. In a wheelchair, as I was throwing up in front of everybody, one of the people who escorted me down there rubbed my back. I felt taken care of, trusted, and not alone going through this misery. After a technician took me to a room to wait for a doctor, the two people who escorted me downstairs left. The ER doctor gave me something for the nausea and for the pain. One of the people who escorted me downstairs came back to wheel me back to 3A. I don’t know who these people are. When I asked, I was given four names. They are Christiana, Eden, Glenda, and Estela. In my entire army career, I have not been cared for more than that night by these four people.

I wish to relay this information to you to hopefully do whatever it is you do to reward these people. They went above and beyond the call of duty. For someone suffering as bad as I was, it was like angels helping me through this hell. My surgeon and doctor said it was the anesthesia. Six hours of anesthesia made me vomit for 48 hours afterward, and unable to drink or eat anything. Eventually, it went away, and I was able to drive home, miserable but still able to drive. And I can’t commend these four people enough for their personal care. It’s like when it seems you’re about to die, then these four people come along and help you get back to reality. How much is that worth? For me, at that time, all the tea in China isn’t enough to thank them for helping me that night.
