Edith is not just an amazing nurse; she is an amazing human. I lost the most important man in my life: my Dad. For the last 3 days of his life, we were lucky enough to have Edith as our nurse. I have never seen anyone more attentive as a nurse. Edith advocated for his care in ways that most nurses do not; she pushed hard to help us get answers, gave her recommendations, made calls, and talked to me with kindness and empathy. Two days after my Dad's death, Edith called me from the hospital to follow up with me about some things. Even after his life ended, Edith still was advocating for me to try to help me find answers about his disease that may help me or my children. Edith didn't have to do that, but she did. Not many nurses are as impactful as she was to us. I will never be able to find the right words to thank her for the care she gave my Dad.
