Edna is a team player. She is willing to take on more work as a charge nurse to lighten the load of her coworkers. One time, she even took three patients as the charge nurse on a heavy night to help out her team. Edna goes above and beyond to help each and every team member on the floor whether it's a tech, nurse, or secretary she helps the techs with baths, vitals, and whatever else needs to be done. She is compassionate and treats her patients like family.
Edna is full of mercy and compassion. When nights are difficult, Edna keeps a good attitude and perspective. Edna demonstrates Mercy for her patients on a day to day basis by sympathizing with them as well as advocating for them in every way possible. She makes it a priority to explain procedures, meds, etc. to her patient's and wants them to feel comfortable.
Edna shows her passion for nursing through her actions. She leads by example and always gives her best at work. She is humble and does her job not for recognition, but simply for her patients. She is passionate about her work and it is always an honor to work with her. She is joyful, funny and able to help bring laughter to her coworkers and patients on a floor that is many times filled with sad stories and difficult diagnoses. She will sit and listen to her patient's needs, fears, worries, or for them to have someone to talk to. No problem is too big for Edna to deal with, and exceptional care is all Edna provides.
