Eileen is a born leader, patient advocate, compassionate and all around magnificent nurse. Her most notable qualities are her communication and leadership skills. Our Unit can be quite challenging. She's made countless contributions to her unit. She shows empathy and shines as a role model for her nursing profession. With each and every patient she establishes a special connection which makes her patients comfortable even in critical situations. Eileen uses a family-centered approach, tackling a unique and complex group of patients. She used this family-centered approach with a particular patient.
Eileen's patient was an elderly female suffering from cognitive impairment. Her patient was very scared and nervous due to the new environment. Eileen made sure her patient was comfortable and at ease. Eileen exceeded her nursing duties and constantly made repeated rounds to converse with her patient making sure that she felt comfortable and safe.
