,
RN
Elective Orthopaedics Ward, Chapel Allerton Hospital
Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust
Eleanor has been required to move to other wards changing specialities again. She does this like no other nurse I know in that there is never any question with her positive response to what is expected of her.
I have had the absolute pleasure of working with Eleanor for many years now at CHOC we are an incredible team here made up of many experienced staff with many different skills that we share. Eleanor is one of these incredible staff members and doesn't always realise just how amazing she is. During the COVID pandemic, she has truly shone. She has two young children and works full time and makes her journey to work by bus every shift. She always accepts her duties with a smile on her face despite how she may really be feeling. Not only did she step up with the rest of us to support J11 but then when the second wave came she put her patients and colleagues first by moving specialities once more to support L27. During this time, she has been required to move to other wards changing specialities again. She does this like no other nurse I know in that there is never any question with her positive response to what is expected of her always promoting the Leeds Way. Not only is she so committed to her role within Leeds trust but she also supports her local community and is dedicated to empowering and motivating others with her positive attitude. Eleanor supports her community by dressing up as an elf for a drive through Santa experience despite the multiple challenges she's faced in her job. Always committed.
