Our nurse, Elisha Jones, without a doubt, has simplified our lives in countless ways. She is the very epitome of a valued employee, one that is not easily replaced, a friend and colleague that will be sorely missed. Elisha is extremely knowledgeable; if she is not sure of something, she will find out & get back to us. Ms. Jones has the kindest demeanor, perhaps the very type of person Maya Angelou referred to when she spoke of instances in which you may not remember what a person said, what you do remember is how they made you feel. 

Quite often we have forgotten a necessary implement for the IVIG setup. Without hesitation, she has the situation handled, and yes, I, too, remember how I felt. Elisha has an innate sense of what the patient is really going through. It is not the missing part of the IVIG setup the patient is worried about, it is. Will I be able to enjoy my Birthday with my family? Am I ever going to get my golf swing back? Elisha cares about my total body health and is interested in how certain medications affect me. Bless her heart, she has so much to keep up with. I am considered a brittle diabetic as I am a 1.5 insulin-dependent patient. It is hard to believe this time last year we were in shock.

Somehow, I made it through the triple bypass surgery and gradually became stronger. There was always that little voice in the back of my mind, if only I had known my nurse, Elisha Jones, back then. Elisha would have explained the how and why, plus she would have always returned my calls and made the time go by better. My team is one that is handpicked. My health and my family's health are in the best possible care, physically and mentally, as long as we have Nurse Elisha Jones as a vital member of our health team. We can count on her reliability, she is trustworthy and a pure pleasure to visit us in our home. We call Elisha our nurse, but she is also our friend.
