Integrity: I disclosed information about my emotional state and its causes like I have never done, due to the comfort she made me feel.
Commitment: She took the time to write out in detail the services that are available, phone numbers, specific contact names, etc., very detailed and action-oriented information.
Advocacy: After "listening", that long-lost art, she allowed me the space to share, with empathy, and genuine care and concern.
Respect: The level of professionalism she displays is inspiring. And from this man's account, not accustomed to sharing, that is what I needed initially, respect. No one likes to feel weak and vulnerable, but there is a time and a place. That was one such occasion.
Excellence: Her ability to make a difference is a testament to why I am currently seeking additional treatment at the DOM. I have never asked for help or had treatment before. Knowing people like Elizabeth Colle work at the VA instills great confidence that I will succeed in recovery. Thank you.
