I will provide you with a perspective based on my profession in law enforcement. In any environment, there is always someone who stands head and shoulders above the rest!! That is Nurse Liz, who was on the evening overnight shift taking care of me!! She did take care of me. She talked she showed concern, she helped getting up and dealing with embarrassing situations (for me at least not for her) bathroom and catheter duty… she continually, through all her shifts with me over a number of 12 hour shifts, showed professionalism, showed commitment, showed passion for her profession and patients… she represented your hospital, she represented her profession, she made me feel better knowing I was getting the best care from a very very good nurse… she represented what I and everyone expect and thinks a nurse should be… what a hospital stay should be like as a result of her efforts to provide patient CARE!!!
