From his comfort to food and even his hygiene, it felt like she always put him first.
Our family member came into the hospital for the second time in just a few weeks. He's rapidly declining. Elizabeth made him comfortable and made him feel welcomed. We were unable to get him to eat, drink, take his meds, and he was also combative. He kept asking for his friend. By friend, he meant Elizabeth. She was able to get him to drink and eat, tasks that can be very daunting for a patient who, at times, cannot even remember his own family members. He was, however, able to remember that Elizabeth was his friend. She is by far the best nurse he has had in the last few weeks. Sometimes, those small gestures go a long way. From his comfort to food and even his hygiene, it felt like she always put him first. This is a nurse who entered nursing because she truly cares about people, not just for a paycheck. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being the best nurse on the floor!
