There are many situations that I can recall where Elizabeth Kuhrt demonstrated all the criteria for the DAISY Award. For instance, I needed help cleaning up a patient that Elizabeth wasn't assigned to; she jumped right up to help me with the patient. Every patient that she has encountered always tells me how great and caring Elizabeth is. I always receive positive feedback from patients about Elizabeth. I have also witnessed her calm a psych patient back to a stable emotional state by just taking time to sit in and talk to the patient while charting. I'm sure she was in there over 40 minutes, but she managed to calm the situation before a Code Green was called.
Elizabeth is the example of a great nurse!
