On Sunday, we brought my mother-in-law into Davie Medical Center to be evaluated due to having some health issues going on. We were triaged by Julie Zebron, RN.  She was very personal with my mother-in-law and made sure that we were seen in a timely manner.
 
We then went to a room where Sandra Lipscomb, RN, was our nurse during our hospital stay. It was getting close to 11 pm when a few nurses leave. My mother-in-law had an episode where she went unresponsive and went into ventricular tachycardia and had to be bagged.  During this time, Dr. Jonathan Kelly, Shannon Jaggie, RT, nursing staff (RNs Sandi Lipscomb, Ashleigh Webb, Julie Zebron, Rob Huff, Kaitlyn Lipscomb), and a couple of others, along with Heather Poindexter, EMT-P, rushed my mother-in-law to the RA room at DMC. 
 
During this time, they all stayed with us and her and worked to stabilize her the best they could and make her comfortable. As the rest of the family members arrived, they all made sure we were all taken care of by offering drinks and coffee for everybody, even though it’s not a normal practice for them to do that. The nurses and doctors were amazing.
 
I would like to nominate them all for the DAISY Award that Baptist does because it needs to be them all because they all worked to help her and us as a family, not just one of them; all of them did. Our family cannot thank them enough for everything, and we will be forever grateful for it all!
