Based on two emergency management performances, the NMC Rolla team was recognized with the DAISY Team Award. For their critical care management and team leadership effectiveness, both patients survived and were effectively transferred to higher treatment. The remarkable event was a patient who came alone to the NMC clinic at around 10:45 am; suddenly, the patient collapsed in front of the reception before registration.
Immediately, code blue alerted from reception, the code team arrived, and CPR started. The admin team found an Emirate ID in the patient's pocket, got information about him, and contacted the company. The code blue team managed the situation, and ACLS Protocol was followed. Every two minutes, rhythm checking and continuous CPR were performed. The patient was initially in PEA and VF, three cycles of shock, and CPR continued. ACLS Algorithms followed. ROSC was attained after 45 minutes. They transferred the patient to the Higher hospital for further management.
During transportation, the patient's verbal and motor responses were good. After discharge from the hospital, the patient visited our clinic and appreciated the team’s emergency management. It was a great team effort and coordination with doctors, which made everyone proud. Keep continuing the professionalism, respect, and compassionate patient care. Later, the Aries Group invited the Rolla team to honor the exceptional skills and unwavering dedication of the staff.
