Emily was doing relief charge on 5 Women's on the night shift when she was called by the unit assistant on 3 Women's asking if she could come down there. There was a woman who was working EVS that had stopped at the desk down there that wasn't feeling well. The woman was having symptoms of high blood pressure and chest pain, so Emily took her to the ER. It was close to shift change when Emily would be getting off work. The woman didn't have anyone that could come be with her and she was very nervous and worried, so Emily stayed with her until about noon when someone else could come to be with her. Emily had to work again the next night, but she stayed anyway! Emily always goes above and beyond and this is just one act of true kindness that she has done recently.
