There isn't one specific situation that stands out from our experience with Emily, but rather the whole experience we had in our interactions with her. We know nurses are busy and overworked, so to be in the care of a nurse who took time out of her schedule to get to know our Dad and his family is unparallel.
Our Dad is a stubborn man who would rather struggle on his own than put his problems onto someone else. When Emily was taking care of him, there was no struggle because she didn't give him the chance. She knew exactly what he needed and how to care for him, without him having to ask. She was even able to get him to have a normal conversation that wasn't based around his health. She treated him like he was her own dad.
Emily worked hard to make sure our Dad was stable enough to walk his daughter down the aisle on her wedding day and she did it with absolute grace and confidence. Emily barely knew our family but took two hours of her own time to escort our Dad to his daughter's wedding. We simply cannot express the compassion she has, and you can tell it comes natural in everything she does. We hope Emily can receive the true recognition and thanks for the outstanding care she provided our family!
