I was in the hospital for 5 days. Emily was my nurse and she took very good care of me, almost like having your mother take care of you. The night of my surgery I was in so much pain. I was crying my eyes out and couldn't move. She came in with medicine, rubbed my back, and put a heated blanket over me and stayed with me until I calmed down and fell asleep. She made me feel comfortable and loved. She made me laugh and smile. She was also good to my daughter when she was there. She went way above and beyond for me.

Emily Dinsdale is a new nurse to 3 Medical but she is already a shining star. She has been recognized by a number of patients for going above and beyond. Her coworkers say she has a way about her that you just can't teach. At 6:00 in the morning when most people are counting down the minutes to the end of their shift, Emily can be found in her patients' rooms giving them an extra 15 minutes of attention. Emily, just last night, was found multiple times in the room of a confused, high fall risk patient just sitting there chatting with him. She provides the dedicated patient care that is required to keep patients from falling.
Emily is a team player who is always willing to help out her coworkers. She has a smile on her face even if she is exhausted from a long night of work. She goes the extra mile for her patients and her co-workers. Emily is a beacon of the focus values here at Allen. She fosters unity among her co-workers, takes pride in her work and is willing to stay late and make sure the job is done right even if it isn't her patient.
Emily is an active member of the Nurse Residency program at Allen Hospital. What truly fills her bucket is everyone working together to reach out to the patients in need.
