Not only was her bedside manner great, but she also has such a positive energy. She listened to all of my concerns and just made my stay so much easier.
Emily came on board toward my later stay, and she was a breath of fresh air and was very positive and kind. Not only was she professional she was personal. Which with me, goes a long way. She made me feel comfortable in an uncomfortable situation and you could tell she just wasn’t just “doing her job”. She cared. Great nurse!

Emily was such a pleasure to be around. Being in the hospital, I get scared to ask for things or that I’ll be a burden. Emily is so amazing at making me feel less alone. Not only was her bedside manner great, but she also has such a positive energy. She listened to all of my concerns and just made my stay so much easier. To me she was more than a nurse. It truly felt like I met a long-lasting friend.

Emily was shadowing on shift when I was admitted. The level of fear and anxiety I felt was tremendous. Emily ALWAYS had a smile on her face and shared with me just how much she loves her job. Her positive attitude brightened my day. After I started talking about prayer and my faith in God, she prayed with me. Aside from being emotionally and spiritually supportive, she was right on time with meds and explained all of my tests- just an all-around great nurse and person. She knew her way around ports and the many complexities that can come with them. She made me feel like I was a part of the team, not just another patient or number. Her bedside manner needs to be emulated throughout this hospital! Please thank her and give her warmth as she starts her nursing position. She is definitely deserving of this award because:
• She knows her job well
• Great outlook
• Smile
• Cares for family members too
• Confident
• Emotionally Supportive
• Worked well under stress
• Empathetic
• Passionate and Compassionate
