She was personable while being professional and understanding that since I work in law enforcement being in this position was awkward for me, as I went for tests and staff there knew me.
There truly is not enough genuine things I can say about Emily Kossel who I truly believe is a major asset to the UW Hospital downtown. In the last year, I've been admitted a few times and that's very odd for me. I've been admitted for just the most random things. It has been frustrating since I work as a first responder and as we all know when you have a career of taking care of people it can be vastly anomalous and all you want to do is be the least bothersome knowing what nurses have on their workload daily and help.
Emily was so genuine, kindhearted, down to earth, professional, caring, excellent at communication. I always asked what medicine I was getting, and she would tell me prior, and truly I could, just tell she without a doubt, she had a heart of gold. She was personable while being professional and understanding that since I work in law enforcement being in this position was awkward for me, as I went for tests and staff there knew me. The level of professionalism was truly exceptional. I spend a lot of time for work at various hospitals and if there was an "Emily" for every patient, she'd get the Daisy Award daily if she doesn't already.
Emily is truly the best nurse I've ever had, better than any nurse I had in another state when I lost my dad, but she deserves every Daisy from every florist and recognition on how tremendous she is at her job. I got discharged prior to having her as a nurse again so I wanted to pass on my upmost sincerity on how great she is and how lucky UW is they hired her to represent such a great hospital! Thank you again to the whole floor and most of all to Emily! It means a lot! I got back to work soon after discharge and I truly believe it's because of the exceptional care she provided. Thank you, Emily and staff.
