I wanted to give an attaboy to this nurse who has taken care of me here at the hospital. When I was admitted, I thought I was going to die. I didn't know what was going on or how I would leave this place alive. My blood sugars were terrible, my wound needed surgeries, and my mind was in a bad place. But then he showed up one morning as my nurse. I'll tell you what, he has helped bring a laugh all day, every day he has taken care of me. He's a jokester. He really takes care of me and makes sure everything that I need is there for me. When my blood protein was low, he changed my diet order to a high-protein one with protein shakes. But when he left on break, they stopped giving me shakes for my blood levels. When he came back, he brought his jokes and made sure they brought my shakes again so I could eat better. Wound care told me my infection was spreading to my hip because of low blood protein. I still don't know how that works but he tried to tell me.

I can't say thank you to him enough. I just felt at ease every time I saw him walk through that door in the morning to say hi. That man really helped get me through this hell. I'm ready to get out of this place and get back to my life. I do appreciate everyone's help, but I just wanted to send this as an attaboy because he deserves much more than just this. Hopefully, he gets the recognition he deserves because this place needs more people like him.
