My brother has stage 4 cancer. During his stay several members of staff were wonderful. However, Eric went above and beyond. He calmed my brother when he was anxious, took time to talk with him, comforted him, encouraged him. He gained the trust of my brother. This trust grew to encouragement. I know if not for Eric, my brother would have given up and not be alive right now. Eric was my brother's hope. He gave my brother encouragement, hope, compassion, dignity, respect. His bedside manner is above and beyond. Eric made sure my brother had dignity even when my brother was embarrassed about his helpless state. Eric took the time to teach me. Eric was not only wonderful to my brother but wonderful for me as well. He listened and offered us hope. Eric's dedication to my brother needs to be recognized.
