I was admitted to SJRMC for severe kidney stones. Erica Candelaria was my Day Surgery nurse a few weeks after my first procedure to finally remove the large stones. Erica was so thoughtful and caring through the pre-op process. She verified that everything was ready for me and that the OR was ready for my procedure. Then she met me after I got back to the room to recover. She was very gentle and ensured my vitals were good and I could move about the room as needed before I went home. A few weeks later, I was back in Day Surgery because the first procedure did not completely remove all the stones. The next thing you know, Erica walks in! I was so happy to see her; we visited for a bit, sharing some laughs! She made my day, and seeing her smile meant all was going to be ok for me.
