Erica's caring demeanor for the entire time that she cared for my father-in-law, 5 of 9 days, is the reason I am nominating her for this award. She was knowledgeable and willing to take any amount of time we needed to answer our questions. She made us feel that she truly cared about her patient and us, his family, whether it was making sure my mother-in-law had a tray for meal time, a blanket when she was cold, or just taking time to explain what she was doing for the patient. She was always concerned with making my father-in-law as comfortable as possible even though he was in a coma for the entire time and unable to communicate his needs. If asked to give one word to describe her care for us, it would just be WOW!
