Erica Howdeshell, RN is a home health nurse who dedicates her time and resources to caring for patients on a daily basis. She consistently volunteers to see extra patients and is a compassionate and caring nurse. Recently, she used all her nursing "know how" to see to the immediate homecare health needs of a discharged patient who suddenly found himself without a home. Erica quickly located him in a park, in pain, and without his needed treatment. When the patient pleaded with her not to judge him, Erica's compassionate response gave him confidence that he would be taken care of. Erica did not leave this patient until she was sure he had a safe place to go for the night and his basic needs would be met.
