Erica was our receiving nurse after my husband arrived for his procedure in the cath lab. Erica was upbeat, funny and diligent about holding pressure on the femoral artery for 1.5 + hours. Erica was very efficient and he received wonderful care as her patient. We just want to tell her thank you and let her know how much we appreciated her.

Erica so compassionately cared for a dying patient as if he were her own family member. The family was comforted knowing they had Erica "in their corner" advocating for them and their loved one. And what an advocate she was! Erica went so far above and beyond her job description that day to show this patient and his family how a compassionate nurse can make a world of difference, even in someone's final hours.
This particular patient and his family had spent a significant amount of time here at St. Luke's and thus he built quite a rapport with the staff here. Even after his passing, the family reported what a wonderful job Erica did not only caring for him but caring for everyone in his room that day. It's nurses like Erica that make St. Luke's the wonderful institution it is. Way to go, Erica, keep it up!
