I didn't have a form to fill out, so I figured I could go about giving props to a girl who certainly deserves the recognition of being a heartfelt, truly caring, compassionate, and kind human being. From the minute she walked into my "makeshift" private suite she immediately made me feel better. Even though my injury/illness symptoms were not bright, her smile behind the mask she couldn't hide if her life depended on it. She made the room glow when she walked in, she made time to hear me out even among all of the craziness that was going on in the ER that night. She made me feel as if I was her one and only patient. She showed me so much respect as a patient, person, and human being. She always reassured me to call if I needed her, and that she would do her best to accommodate me in any way she could in order to make my diagnosis, treatment, and healing process a success. She was professional and had standards of integrity, which is easily seen in the care she provided. She kept me informed that there was finally a room that I would be transferred to and she gave me the play-by-play updates as we waited for transport. She was also kind to ask if there was anything else she could do before my departures my new room. My only request was her to visit me.

To you, Ms. Erika, many thanks for your kindness and heartfelt care. I will be sure to have it known that you are what makes this hospital great! You are one of those foundation blocks who should be promoted. Your actions speak volumes beyond the words I could write. So please don't change; this world needs people like you.
