During my hospitalization, I received care from Eugene. Not only was he professional, but very knowledgeable. I had some difficult care procedures, and he was so compassionate and caring. He did such a great job of keeping me informed of the next steps and what my next type of care was going to be. Being a female and having such personal issues, it could have been very traumatic, but Eugene never made it awkward or acted like it was something that he did not want to do. He answered questions and was always very responsive to any requests. He made my family very welcome during my care and went above and beyond to make them comfortable as well. Whenever I had a question, Eugene relayed it to the appropriate person to get a resolution quickly. I was hospitalized for over 12 days, and the three nights that he took care of me, he made those nights (the worst of my nights) tolerable. I appreciate his care so much! This nomination does not come lightly. I am a nurse, and I have family members who are nurses. He showed care and should be recognized for his extraordinary care.
