It was a very important day for our family as we had a day pass to attend an important religious event. The day began at 4:30 AM with blood work and required a doctor's assessment before we were allowed to leave. We were scheduled to leave at 8 AM, but at 7:50 AM I dropped my son's Atra pill. We could not leave on our day pass if he didn't have his pill and had to arrive at the venue by 8:30 AM. The taxi was already downstairs waiting for us, but we couldn't leave. Eunice took immediate action to figure out how to get us a replacement pill. She called the doctor (on a Saturday morning at 8 AM) to find out what to do. She called pharmacy to order one replacement pill and physically ran to pharmacy to get it for us. She met us at the elevator, watched my son have his last pill, and then let us go for our day pass. If Eunice had not been so determined and quick with her actions, we would not have been able to attend our event. Eunice's empathy and quick action saved the day and I wanted Eunice to know how much we appreciated it. She made a difference in our lives when it mattered most, and because of that, she will never be forgotten. Many weeks after this event, Eunice also taught me how to give my son his daily needles. Eunice was kind, compassionate and caring throughout our stay. She is an exemplary nurse and we were very fortunate to have her as our nurse.
