I was a patient at Methodist Southlake for nearly one week. As a Medical Healthcare Professional / Business Owner, my family and I observed this nurse very closely each time she came to my room to check on me. In addition to nursing, she would just show up and help out when and where she saw she could be of service. This nurse inspired much confidence in me to want to get up and walk shortly after having my 360 Lumbar Spinal Fusion. Most importantly, she greatly inspires the hospital staff, visitors, and all other patients, from what I've seen.

What led me to write has to do with how impressed my family members, mostly RNs, were with her friendliness, compassion, and calmness that resonated each time she came to see me. My family and I were very touched when she would just stop by throughout the day and ask how is everything going and if there anything that she could do to make me more comfortable; as she exited my room, she would turn around and say, "If you can think of anything, please push the call button and let us know how we can be of service to you." Her voice was always calm and measured and echoed cheerful tones. Again, she is/was always calm, measured in her thinking, and knows the needs and whims of her ICU and Med Surg nurses all exceeded my patient care expectations.
