Eva is full of knowledge, is so caring to everyone she crosses paths with, and is extremely helpful.
Eva Lami's passion and dedication to all the critical care patients is unmatched! One day, I received a post code patient from the floor. He was not doing well at all. Doctors came in immediately and started giving a bunch of orders. Even with me predicting what the doctors were going to say and what orders they were going to give to be prepared, I still was behind. Eva came straight to my rescue and did not leave my side with the exception of checking on her patients from time to time. Within the patient being in the unit of 15 minutes, we were coding him again. We were able to achieve ROSC, but within 45 minutes, we were coding yet again. We were able to achieve ROSC again. She helped me get all of my medications hung and within the ordering parameters. She also ordered the backup doses. She also helped me get all of my labs that the doctors were wanting STAT. The next order was a STAT CT scan. Eva talked a doctor into going with me because of his unstable condition. She also made sure I had plenty of medications in my pockets with flushes in case something happened while in CT.
Once we returned from CT, Eva was right there to assist me even further. Unfortunately, the patient was on the verge of coding again, and with the results of the CT scan, the family decided to go with comfort care. Eva was still right there to help make the family comfortable and answer any questions that they had. After the patient passed, Eva was there to help with the after care. To say Eva was an angel that day to myself, my patient, and his family is cutting Eva short. I would not have been able to provide the excellent care that this patient and his family received without Eva's help! This whole time Eva was helping me; she had two patients of her own to take care of as well.

One example of Eva's excellent nursing skills is that I watched her for 2 days comb, wash, and try to fix this young lady's hair where it had not been tended to in a long time. We are so fortunate to have Eva here at this facility and unit! She is an excellent example of a nurse and an angel here on this earth.
