Ms. Fatima Anbari started her journey in Burn Unit Dressing Clinic during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. She has a very pleasant personality, always putting her patients first. With her open approach patients have developed trust with her as their nurse especially during the long process of wound care and treatment for severe burn patients. I have seen for myself that patients believe in her skills as a nurse and even more as a professional who is able to see their physical and emotional needs during this difficult time in their lives. As an example of her extraordinary performance, Ms. Fatima was approached by one of her previous patients even after discharge from Burn Dressing Clinic. This patient had an appointment after 1 month in Plastic Outpatient Clinic however before the appointment Ms. Fatima was approached by the patient who required some urgent treatment and was very distressed. Ms. Fatima answered with no hesitation and accompanied the patient to the OPD clinic, found the correct consultant, and followed this patient through the appointment while giving emotional support. Burn wounds are devastating physically and emotionally and the recovery process is very long. Ms. Fatima is able to understand all her patients and provide them support, education and comfort even long after her duties and responsibilities are fulfilled. This is only one example of Ms. Fatima’s dedication and her work above and beyond. Ms. Fatima has a genuine impact on the well-being of her patients and her patients truly love her.
