Fatimah got 5 nominations. And here is her story. There were many instances that Fatimah was decisive beyond the call of duty, which is an extraordinary effort for implementing excellent care in Day Surgery patients. 

Fatimah initiated at her own expense, by providing coloring books and pencils for our pediatric patients scheduled for surgical operation. It is a fact that coloring helps children reduce their anxiety from the surgical operation and it can help them learn the skills of patience. 

Patient, an adult/female after her recovery from surgical operation was surprised and appreciated the warm birthday greetings from day surgery nurses led by Fatimah, who prepared the gifts and knew the DOB of the patient prior to the operation.

One of our targets is to deliver patients’ educational instructions pre- and post-surgery through the QR-Code teaching tool. And with Fatimah’s commendable perseverance in constant collaboration and follow-up, the Day Surgery educational materials QR-Code has been published in our hospital website through Media Affairs.
