When I arrived at the Surgical (Colorectal) department, I was feeling sad and anxious about the decision to undergo surgery for a persistent hemorrhoid issue that had been causing me discomfort. This visit marked my second time at JHAH, and during my initial visit, I was informed by staff that banding was not a procedure offered at JHAH, leaving surgery as the only viable option for my condition. During my consultation with Nurse Fatimah, I explained the purpose of my visit and shared the information about hemorrhoid surgery that I had received during my initial visit to JHAH. However, to my pleasant surprise, Fatimah displayed an extensive understanding of my condition and promptly informed me about the misinformation I had been given during my previous visit.

She provided me with a wealth of accurate information about alternative options that could potentially address my condition without the need for surgery. Banding, in particular, was a procedure I wanted to explore further as a potential alternative. I cannot adequately express in words how delighted I was when Fatimah demonstrated her professional courtesy and extensive knowledge. Fatimah's expertise and guidance instilled confidence in me regarding the ability of JHAH doctors to review my case and assist me in selecting options that could potentially eliminate the need for hemorrhoid surgery. This newfound confidence was further bolstered when I met with a Doctor, who evaluated my condition and not only confirmed my candidacy for banding but also assured me of a range of steps that could be attempted before considering surgery.

I am delighted to report that I received successful banding treatment from the doctor, which has significantly improved my quality of life and restored my confidence. The doctor continues to monitor my progress, and I am grateful for his ongoing care. However, none of this would have been possible without the exceptional services provided by Nurse Fatimah Al Hadab. Her professionalism, caring demeanor, and dedication to her patients played a critical role in my positive experience at JHAH. I am truly grateful that our paths crossed, and I believe it was a blessing from Allah.
