When I first met Fiona, she was barging into the group room and ripping my phone out of my hands. That was day 1 for me. Now I am only on day 3, but I need no further time here to realize Fiona is a true DAISY Nurse. She is one of the most wonderful, beautiful, remarkable women I have ever met. From day one of her being my nurse, I knew I liked her. She was tough but in a loving way. You could really tell she cared. And you know something? Out of all the doctors and therapists and nurses I've come across in my life, not once did I have a doubt that she truly cared. She's not a nurse because it's good pay, she's not a nurse because she likes to even call herself one. She is a nurse because she cares, and she understands deeply for each and every patient. She made me realize, a nurse is not someone who just does the dirty work or is a doctor's sidekick. To be a nurse is a literal second definition of being a superhero. Fiona is a waitress, a friend, an assistant, a leader, an office lady in scrubs, a watcher, everything a woman could possibly be. She has truly impacted my recovery and has helped me break free of my faults and demons. I declare, Fiona Farquharson is Wonder Woman.
