Our hearts were hurting but Frankie was a balm to our souls.
I must say that Frankie is one of your finest nurses. She was our nurse for my dad while he was in the Hospice Home. Not only did she take care of my dad with the utmost tenderness and care, but she ministered to our family needs at the same time. Her perception of our personal needs was very astute. She would thoughtfully explain what was happening to his body, what the various medications were doing, and what we needed to do to help him. She never talked down to us even when we were totally ignorant of his physiological changes. She came across more as a friend than just a nurse tending to a patient. We never felt neglected and she kept us informed in a very kind and gentle manner. If there was any light in our difficult ordeal at the Hospice Home, it was brightly shown through Frankie. All the nurses at the Hospice Home were excellent but Frankie was a step above. Our hearts were hurting but she was a balm to our souls. Frankie was the whole, complete package wrapped up in a beautiful bow. She was a gift and angel to us in a horribly challenging time. If I ever have the need to repeat this type of situation again, I will request no one other than Frankie. She was our hero!
