Gabby was a great resource and talked me through my first critical admission with a calm, level attitude.
I would like to recognize Gabby for being an exceptional nurse, mentor, and colleague. I first met Gabby during my orientation to the unit and she was always very welcoming. Gabby precepted me once I started the night shift and I continue to learn from her every time we work together. She does a wonderful job taking care of her patients and making sure her team is always doing well. One of the moments that I remember most vividly was how Gabby helped me during my first BICU admission. The report we received from the other hospital about the patient varied very differently from how the patient was presented, and the patient ended up being much more critical than initially suspected. Gabby helped me gather my thoughts and helped me document everything that we did. She was a great resource and talked me through my first critical admission with a calm, level attitude. I have gained a great deal of self-confidence in my nursing ability through Gabby’s guidance and feedback.
