***
Gina managed wound care from start to finish. She made sure a specialty bed was ordered, wound vac delivered, discharge nurses set up. She also extensively teaches the nurses about wound care and ostomies. She allows the staff to trial new products to improve patient care. She advocates fully for every single wound care patient. Gina follows up and maintains a relationship with her patients. She is an incredible asset to nursing and PMC!
***
I would like to specifically commend Gina for her amazing personality and kindness to my father as well. She met with my father on 5B to treat pressure sores that he had before arriving at PMC. Her bedside manner is something to be admired. Gina made sure to explain to me everything I needed to know in order to care for my father after his discharge. She is very concerned about her patients and has made it a point to check on his status even after discharge. Gina was able to give us valuable information about the care that my father could receive at home through Medicare and his insurance. She is a wonderful asset to this hospital.
