I was in Branson with my family and friends over Easter vacation when I was diagnosed in the ER with appendicitis and taken to surgery. After surgery I was taken to a room in the pediatric wing. At first I thought I was brought there because this was my first surgery in 58 years and I was probably acting like a baby! But I was told that the pediatric wing was empty at the time and my room had an extra empty bed that my wife could use at night. This was so thoughtful!
My day nurse there was Gene Hendricks and he greatly helped me in my post-op recovery. He was a cut-up and seemed to know everything. He spent a lot of time with us and made us all feel a lot better. He even told us to call him the next time we were in Branson.
