I am writing to you today to express my heartfelt appreciation for the excellent care my mother received from Winchester Hospital, from the amazing C3 nursing staff. In particular, I would like to highlight the actions of one night-shift RN named Gia who went above and beyond for my brother, myself, and my mother during her final stay.

There was almost an instant connection, and Mom took great comfort in the caring touch, soothing tone of voice, and the hard work Gia put in to make Mom comfortable.

During Mom’s stays, I had the pleasure of meeting many of the C3 nurses. They all were wonderful. Gia stood out among all of them. She went well above and beyond the call of her duty. It is clear to me that Gia has a beautiful heart, a passion for caring for patients and their families, and is a credit to Winchester Hospital.

A good friend of mine who is a nurse once told me, “A good nurse takes care of their patients. A great nurse takes care of the whole family.” Gia did exactly that. With the way she treated my mother, my brother, and I, I’m convinced that if you look up “great nurse” on Google, her picture will appear. She is the definition of a great nurse.

Gia made a gigantic difference on a very difficult morning. Her genuine kindness and caring are something that I will always appreciate and never forget.
