Gilbert kept me informed. He gave me my IV without hurting me. He followed up on me when he said he would come back.
Tonight, I fell down five steps, and when I got to the bottom, I hit my head on the back of it so hard that I had a goose egg on it. It felt like I had fractured and broken my skull open. So I went to the ER Ochsner Baptist ER. Everyone there was nice; however, there was one nurse in particular who was just going above and beyond the call of duty for me.
Gilbert kept me informed. He gave me my IV without hurting me. He followed up on me when he said he would come back. He came back. This gentleman was so understanding and caring that I just felt the need to write, and so while I was sitting there in the ER, where I had to stay overnight for observation, I noticed the DAISY Award on the wall. Gilbert would be a wonderful person to nominate for a truly honorable award. He truly did go above and beyond to make me feel comfortable with the diagnosis because I had a bleed on the brain. He helped me understand what that meant to me and made me feel a lot better about the outcome. Truly a wonderful person and an excellent nurse.
