I was a patient in the surgery center and unfortunately was scheduled for a procedure related to the devastating loss of my pregnancy. Gina was my nurse until I went into the procedure. I was absolutely devastated, broken, and having such a difficult day related to my situation. She was so caring from the moment she greeted me in the waiting room. She provided the most amazing and empathetic support when discussing my options related to care after pregnancy loss and truly made me feel like an individual rather than just another patient on her shift. I was absolutely blown away by the way she explained everything she was doing, welcomed as many questions as needed to make me comfortable, and continued to check in with my family to make sure they were also taken care of. She went above and beyond and I continued reflecting on her kindness before and after my procedure. Although I was only under her care for a couple of hours, she made a lasting impression. I am so grateful that she was my nurse that day. Gina's compassion, kindness, and empathy were what my heart needed during such a difficult morning and I thank her so much.
