We were so lucky to have Gina as our nurse several shifts. She was very skilled at her job and demonstrated exceptional professionalism. Her ability to help us make the best of some very difficult times was a tribute to her ability to show compassion. My family and I were thrilled with the way she took our very complicated, very discouraging situation and helped keep us all informed and well cared for.
Gina was a great advocate for me. Whether it was facilitating communication with my doctors, therapists, or lab technicians, she always had our best interest at heart. Gina was very personable and her soothing communication style and sense of humor helped make difficult times seem better. She was frequently checking on me in addition to the visits she needed to make to give me medications or updates. When I needed to use my call light, which was infrequently, Gina was right there for me. I think I only used the call light once while in Gina's care, otherwise, she seemed to know when I needed her or was proactive and thinking ahead to what my needs may be.
