It is hard to share only one example of the tremendous work that Ginger does every day both with the patients that we see and the team that we work in. She is smart and efficient, is able to relate to patients, takes initiative, and is always willing to jump in and help out if anyone asks. Our schedule is incredibly busy but Ginger is able to navigate the complexity of this with ease. She is easily one of the hardest-working people that I have had the opportunity to work with. Ginger is truly a hero!

This story is one that occurred in the midst of one of our busy days. There was a little boy being seen for a well child exam. He was anxious and his mother gave him a treat to lay nicely on the scale to be weighed. He started to cry and the treat instantly became lodged in his airway and he was unable to breathe. His parents were panicked but Ginger reacted calmly and began appropriate lifesaving maneuvers. I arrived to the scene just moments before she dislodged the obstruction and returned him to his grateful parents. She responded brilliantly to the situation, and I truly believe saved this little boy's life. Thankfully, this scenario is not a daily occurrence, but I know that she would rise to any challenge.

Ginger is an amazing nurse and I feel lucky every day that she is my co-worker and friend. I cannot think of anyone more deserving of this award. Ginger helps support one of our doctors. She does an amazing job of helping to manage the day-to-day workload. Ginger is always willing to help her team members out no matter how busy her day gets. Ginger is definitely someone you can count on.

One of my most memorable interactions with Ginger was a late-in-the-day patient who was in clinic and had just had an ultrasound that was not good. The patient was upset and I had responded to the patient and approached Ginger and the doctor to see if they could work her into their full schedule. They already had 24 patients on the schedule. Ginger, without hesitation, added the patient and stated she knew the importance that the patient needed to connect with the provider and knew that the doctor would want to see the patient. She went into the exam room and offered the patient compassion and a listening ear. GREAT Customer service! We are very blessed to have her on our team!
